Karmapa visits KCE during his trip to Kalimpong
It was with great joy that we welcomed Gyalwa Karmapa to KCE on the occasion of his visit to Kalimpong from 20 April to 2 May.
Karmapa granted us three visits and on his first visit we were able to show him the progress of the construction work in detail and discuss the next steps with him.
Since his last visit in 2023, construction has progressed well and has entered its final phase: the 3-storey main temple building, which will house the secondary classes, with a temple hall for 200 people.
The tour included a walk around the premises, inspecting the new retreat room with a white Tara statue, the new art room, new guest rooms and the soon-to-be-opened café.
